PROJECT TITLE
PROJECT MISSION
Successfully entering the job market after finishing school is a challenge for young people across Europe, especially if they are considered disadvantaged. The problem is not only visible in the economically weaker countries of southern and eastern Europe, but is also evident in the stronger countries. The barriers that disadvantaged young people face are generally the lack of an appropriate educational qualification or qualifications, often accompanied by a difficult family situation and the like. On top of this, young migrants often face insufficient language skills, which are essential to pass a vocational training program and successfully find a job. To address this problem, many European countries have introduced “work-oriented learning” or rather “work-based training” (WBT) methods into the VET system to create a better link between theory-based learning and practical training.
